9-22 Boycott Apartheid Israel, End the Siege of Gaza, Uphold Palestinian Rights WHEREAS the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) campaign helped to end apartheid in South Africa and,
WHEREAS the current BDS campaign aimed at Israeli Apartheid, endorsed by CU PE Ontario, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and unions around the world, seeks to end the siege of Gaza, and uphold the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people, including the right of refugees to return to their homes and properties.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ontario NDP actively support the international campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions to demand that Israel end the siege of Gaza, dismantle the apartheid wall and Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and fully comply with international law, including U.N. resolution 194, which calls for the right of return of Palestinian refugees.
