The graffiti reads: “Zionists are not welcome.”
On March 27, 2020 Meir HaLevi Weinstein reported that the graffiti “Zionists not welcome” was painted on the same Aroma restaurant 540 College Street in Toronto.
Aroma Espresso Bar is an Israeli espresso and coffee chain with 125 branches in Israel, and several branches in the United States, Canada (nearly 30 cafés across the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario), Romania, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. Aroma Espresso Bar in Canada has been a target by pro-Palestinian groups who promote the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) campaign against Israel.
