Dimitri Lascaris is a lawyer, pro-Palestinian activist and a counsel to the al-Quds Toronto Committee that organizes the annual Al-Quds Day Rally.

On November 28, 2019 Dimitri Lascaris posted:

I act for the organizers of the Al Quds Day rally in Toronto. As my clients have stated from the outset, no hate crime was committed at this year’s Al Quds Day rally. This was nothing but a witch-hunt against critics of Israeli apartheid, initiated by pro-Israel propagandists like B’nai Brith Canada and Sue-Ann Levy of The Toronto Sun. LEVY: No charges flow from Al-Quds rally

Commenting on his own Facebook post Dimitri Lascaris added:

Is the Iranian regime guilty of severe human rights violations? Absolutely. Is it as bad as the Zionist regime? No. Moreover, organizers cannot exercise total control in a public protest over every single participant. I have been to the last 2 Al Quds Day rallies and I can say with absolute confidence that very few (if any) of the protesters exhibited any sympathy for the Iranian regime. The vast majority of the participants are there for one simple reason: to defend the human rights of Palestinians.
