On March 3, 2026, The Canadian Jewish News reported that a “gunfire incident near Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue, in Toronto’s northwest end, damaged a Jewish-owned restaurant and a local business and entrepreneurial campus early on March 2 [2026].” The shooting broke the glass door of The Old Avenue restaurant, which is Jewish-owned.
