The Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM حركة الشباب الفلسطيني) is planning to hold on July 1, 2020 a “Day of Rage” in Canada to protest Israel’s intention to annex parts of the West Bank in accordance to the “Deal of the Century”, the American peace initiative that was rejected by the Palestinian Authority.
The event is hosted by Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), Arab Palestine Association Of Ontario, Campuses for Palestine – C4P and Toronto BDS Network.

On July 1st 2020, the state of so-called Israel is set to begin the formal annexation of 30% of the West Bank. The West Bank has been occupied since 1967 and the settlements that exist there already are illegal by international law. These further encroachments on Palestinian land are unacceptable. Annexation is nothing new in Occupied Palestine; the entire Zionist project has depended on land and resource theft, the displacement of indigenous Palestinians, military occupation, imprisonment, and colonial violence. The continued expansions of Jewish-only settlements on occupied land, the US embassy move to Jerusalem, the so-called “Deal of the Century”, and the formalization of annexation are the latest manifestations of Zionist colonial rule.
AS PALESTINIANS IN THE DIASPORA, WE STAND FIRMLY AGAINST THE CONTINUED ZIONIST ANNEXATION OF OUR LANDS.
WE ARE OUTRAGED AT ZIONIST COLONIAL EXPANSION AND VIOLENCE. WE HAVE NO TRUST IN THE SETTLER-COLONIAL STATES OF CANADA AND THE U.S. TO BE THE “HONEST BROKERS” OF PEACE. WE MUST TAKE LEADERSHIP IN OUR NATIONAL LIBERATION. WE WILL RETURN.
Please come out to support this Palestinian and youth-led demonstration of rage and rejection. We will rally together in Toronto on July 1st in a location TBD. There is a broad call for a “Day of Rage” by Al-Awda, The Palestine Right to Return Coalition and the Palestinian diaspora living in Toronto is answering to the call.
