On February 20, 2026, the Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir – Canada shared a video produced by Al-Waqiyah TV titled “The Month of Jihad and Victories.”

Here is the transcript of the video’s narration:

Just as Ramadan has always been the month of obedience and blessings and fasting and night prayer, it was also for the Muslims the month of victories and conquests.

So hunger and thirst were not an obstacle to the advance of the mujahideen in worship that is the pinnacle of Islam. Instead, the blessing of this month has combined in the hearts of heroes with the blessing of Jihad in the path of Allah (SWT).

How could it be? Virtues competed and converged. He (SWT) who gave glad tidings to the fasting person of forgiveness and deliverance from the Fire, gave glad tidings to those whose feet were dusty in the path of Allah (SWT), that the Fire would never touch them.

Then came the Battle of Al-Furqan, the great Battle of Badr [624 AD], in which the angels descended to strengthen the true believers. And the Conquest of Makkah [630 AD] was the resounding victory that changed the course of the Dawah, so people entered the Deen [religion] of Allah (SWT) in multitudes after they had been entering it individually.

And there was the Battle if Guadalete [711 AD] that opened the gates of Andalusia and spread the civilization of Islam in darkened Europe. And its sister was the Battle of Poitiers [1356] that almost changed the course of history by erasing the darkness of disbelief from the lands of the Franks.

And the Battle of the Conquest of Amorium [838 AD], in which Caliph al-Mu’tasim answered the plea of a Muslim woman who cried out in pain, and the echo of her voice resounded like an earthquake, that destroyed the Byzantine fortresses and made them an example among nations.

And who can forget the Battle of Salvation at Ain Jalut [1260] when the Tatar armies turned back in retreat and Allah (SWT) protected the heart of Islam with learned ulema [scholars] mujahideen and pious mujahideen.

And how much influence Ramadan had in igniting zeal among the people of Egypt so they breached the fortified Bar Lev Line [1973], swept through Sinai, and destroyed hundreds of modern tanks belonging to the Jews and crushed their advanced aircraft in the Air Battle of Mansoura.

So, O Ummah [nation] of Islam, Ramadan calls you to restore it to its former glory so that the Raya [flag] banner of victory may rise again from the heads of fasting young men over their enemy, as victors. Neither those who forsake them nor those who oppose them may harm them until the command of Allah (SWT) comes which they are upon that and it is near, by the permission of Alla (SWT).
