On May 18, 2021 hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters gathered in front of the Israeli Consulate in Montreal in solidarity with the Palestinians during the war between Israel and a coalition of Palestinian terrorist organizations led by Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.
The protesters waved Palestinian flags as well as a few flags of other Arab countries. The Canadian flag was nowhere to be seen.
They chanted:
The gate of Al-Aqsa Mosque is made of iron. Only the martyr can open it
We will sacrifice our blood and soul for Gaza
Millions of Martyrs are marching to Al-Aqsa [Mosque]
From the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea Palestine will be free
Jaoudat Najjar, a Palestinian-born Canadian who is involved in leading and organizing in Montreal anti Israel activities, including BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions), reported live on the protest for Palestinian Shehab news agency. According to Al Jazeera, Shehab news agency is affiliated with Hamas.
At the end of his report Jaoudat Najjar said:
You [Justin Trudeau], the president [sic, prime minister] of Canada, are considered a terrorist. You are considered a terrorist. You have now become a criminal, an accomplice to the killing of the children of Gaza City. You should be tried in front of the world and executed in front of the world.
