Jaoudat Najjar is a Palestinian-born Canadian who is involved in leading and organizing anti Israel activities, including BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions), in Montreal.
Here are some excerpts from Jaoudat al-Najjar’s statements during the rally (originally in Arabic):
I’m Jaoudat al-Najjar, on behalf of me and the the Palestinian Youth Union [اتحاد الشباب الفلسطيني], Canada, Montreal. today, we organized the commemoration of the Nakba in the City of Montreal. We are now in an area that belongs to the Jews [تابعة لليهود], and this demonstration now, thousands will be with us, we are going to march in all streets of Montreal for four hours or five hours in order to prove them [the Jews] that this is our right and our rights. A few days earlier they [the Jews] commemorated the Nakba [establishment of the State of Israel] in the City of Montreal at our expense. They commemorated it on our lands. They commemorated it on the blood of our martyrs [in the path of Allah]. And therefore we are today, we prove to the world that the Palestinian issue is the basis and our right will return to us forcibly… Long live Palestine. We will sacrifice our soul and blood for Palestine. Palestine is free, Arab. Palestine if free, Islamic, and soon, Allah Willing, Palestine will be liberated.
