On May 12, 2019 a rally commemorating the Palestinian Nakba (literally “Catastrophe”, the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948) took place in Montreal. The rally was hosted by Fondation canado-palestinienne du Québec, Tadamon!, CJPME – Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East and Solidarité pour les droits humains des Palestiniennes et Palestiniens UdeM.

We are here commemorating the Nakba, our disaster, and the accursed Jews [اليهود الملاعين] are celebrating. O Palestine, even if we are abroad we will never forget our homeland. All the people express solidarity with us. As long as there is blood and soul, a soul in the body, we will never forget you, Palestine. Palestine is free and proud in spite of the spiteful Zionists. We are not afraid or have fear from any accursed Zionist.
