On April 17, 2019 Students Against Israeli Apartheid (SAIA) at the University of Toronto shared on its Facebook page an article titled: “Committee: Israel testing medicines on Palestinian prisoners.”

According to SAIA-U of T:

“SAIA-U of T is a Palestine solidarity group part of the growing international movement for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions.

“Students Against Israeli Apartheid (SAIA) at the University of Toronto is a network of university students, faculty and staff working to raise awareness about Palestine and Israeli Apartheid as well as the need to sever economic ties between our campuses and the support for Israeli state policies. We are connected with the growing Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement against Israeli Apartheid. SAIA also organizes the annual Israeli Apartheid Week.

“SAIA is an Action Group of the Ontario Public Interest Research Group – UofT (OPIRG).

“SAIA affirms its unequivocal solidarity and support to the struggle of indigenous people for sovereignty, dignity and self-determination across North America (Turtle Island). We strongly reiterate this support given the climate of repression and escalating attacks by the Canadian government on the indigenous peoples of this land.
