On March 11, 2026, the Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto reported an incident of vandalism at the synagogue. Here are the details:

Dear Congregants and Friends,

You may have heard reports from local press today that there was an incident at Holy Blossom Temple. To clarify, we are writing directly to you now.

Overnight, two of the three signs posted outside the Temple referencing the City of Toronto’s recently established “bubble zone bylaw” were removed (zip ties cut) and were found on the ground this morning. There was no damage to the building, and the matter has been reported to the Jewish Security Network and the Toronto Police Services, who have further increased patrols.

We also contacted our elected officials at all levels to further illustrate that our community is counting on them at this time.

When the bylaw was established and the required signage was put up on the perimeter of our property, we added a smaller accompanying sign of our own. We stand by its message today.

L’Shalom – with prayers for more peaceful days ahead.
