The Al-Quds Day rally, organized by the Al-Quds Committee in collaboration with the Palestinian Youth Movement, took place in Toronto on March 14, 2026.
During the rally, participants displayed signs featuring a horned bovine figure engulfed in flames, resembling Baal (Ba’al), an ancient Canaanite deity. This imagery is often used in modern anti-Israel or anti-Western protests, where the horned bull is depicted as a demon. The sign included two flags of the Islamic regime in Iran and reads: “Ashes to Ashes, Demon to Dust.”
A participant displayed a “WANTED” poster from the International Criminal Court, accusing Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.” The sign depicted Netanyahu with devil horns and a blue Star of David behind his face, portraying him as a demonic figure linked to Israel and Zionism.

On March 13, 2026, demonstrators burned an effigy labeled with Israeli symbols during an al-Quds Day rally in Baghdad, Iraq. Al-Quds Day, established in 1979 by Iran’s Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, is observed on the final Friday of the month of Ramadan to show support for Pal-estinians and oppose the Israeli occupation. At the rally, participants carried Pal-estinian, Iraqi, and Iranian flags and displayed portraits of Iran’s former Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, presenting the effigy burning as a symbolic protest against Israel and Western influence amid ongoing U.S.-Israeli aggression in the region.
