Students Against Israeli Apartheid at York University – SAIA York is organizing a protest against Herut Canada’s event at York University scheduled on November 20, 2019. Here is SAIA York’s statement:
All Out! No IDF on Campus
On Nov 20th, Herut Canada with the permission of York University will be hosting an event from 7-9 pm in Vari Hall Room C.
The event will have IDF soldiers/reservists coming to speak to students on campus. This is a shameful moment for the York University administration, to be allowing the soldiers of a foreign military on our campus. The Israeli army is responsible for dozens of human rights violations, the killing of Palestinians on a daily basis, and the continued ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
We will be protesting the event that is taking place in Vari Hall, Room C (first floor)
Tell York University that we will not tolerate murderers on our campus.
