On November 2, 2020 Independent Jewish Voices Canada (IJV Canada), that dubs itself a “Palestine solidarity group,” posted on Facebook:
Today and every day, we fight for a free Palestine. Aujourd’hui et chaque jour, on se bat pour une Palestine libre. #PalestineDay #November29
IJV Canada’s Facebook post was accompanied with a poster featuring a map of Palestine (Israel does no exist on his map) and an AK-47 combat rifle symbolizing the Palestinian armed struggle to “liberate” the what is perceived by the Palestinians the entire land of Palestine from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. The poster reads: (originally in Arabic and French) “International day of solidarity with the Palestinian people – November 29. (originally in Arabic) Palestine Liberation Organization – Tunisia office.”
On May 21, 2018 David Mivasair, a senior member of Independent Jewish Voices Canada and a long-time active member of the New Democratic Party (NDP), recited Kaddish (traditional Jewish mourning service) honouring dead Palestinians, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters.
