On April 11, 2026, Toronto Police issued the following statement:

Case #: 2025-2072751

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a suspected hate-motivated Criminal Harassment and Threatening investigation.

It is alleged that:

between October 1 and October 3, 2025, the accused sent repeated online communications to the complainants

the accused’s communications contained anti-Jewish comments and threats to cause death to the complainants

A warrant of arrest was granted for the accused.

On Friday, April 10, 2026, Riley Daniels, 30, of Ajax, was arrested by Durham Regional Police. He has been charged with:

two counts of Criminal Harassment

Utter Threats

He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday April 10, 2026, at 10 a.m., in courtroom 103.

This investigation is being treated as a suspected hate-motivated offence.
