In an interview with Sada Sl-Mashrek (Montreal, Issue 491, September 16, p. 5) Imam Hassan Guillet said (originally in Arabic):
The response will be, Allah willing, in the following manner. Anyone who participated in the campaign that defamed me and damaged my reputation will be brought before the Court in order for everyone to know that the charges against me are merely falsehoods and aimed to prevent me from reaching parliament, to fight the policy of dialogue that I espouse and to eliminate the possibility of defending Arab and Islamic issues in the Canadian government and parliament.
