During the last week of September 2019 Corey Fleischer, a Montreal activist who has been running Erasing Hate from public spaces, removed hateful anti-Jewish messages from signs of Miriam Ishak, a candidate for the Conservative Party in Quebec (Pierrefonds—Dollard). A swastika was painted on one of the signs and a cartoon caricature of an evil looking Jewish man with a hooked noses was attached by tape to the second sign.
