Shaban Sherifmady is an Egyptian-born Canadian Imam and scholar based in Edmonton, Alberta.
On November 9, 2014 Shaban Sherifmady shared a statement by Sheik Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, then the chairman of the International Union of Muslim Scholars. Sherifmady called Al-Qaradawi: “The divine scholar, the mujahid [Muslim engages in jihad] Sheik, the imam of the Muslims, the knight of scholars.”
Here are excerpts from Qaradawi’s statement titled “Sheik Yusuf Al-Qaradawi’s call to the [Muslim] nation to save Al-Aqsa [Mosque]”:
“The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and the stone or the tree would say: ‘O Muslim, O servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; except for the tree Gharqad, for it is the tree of the Jews.”
